Academy Ballroom Atlanta opened in the spring of 2006 and quickly became known as the “Dance Training Center of the South”. With many of the top social and competitive professionals in-house, we guarantee the best quality ballroom and Latin dance instruction in Georgia and all of the southeastern states.

Our Team
Eddie Ares and Chasity Smith are local owners of Academy Ballroom Atlanta. They lead the studio along with their team of highly trained dance instructors.

Chasity Smith graduated from the University of Alabama with a B.S. in Accounting and with minors in both Mathematics and Spanish. She immediately moved to Atlanta, GA where she began her career as an auditor and also seized the opportunity to pursue her passion for ballroom dancing.
Chasity began training immediately to become a Latin dance competitor. In less than one year, she rose to the top as a Finalist in the World Pro/Am Dance Championships in Buenos Aires, Argentina. inIn 2013, Chasity won the U.S. Pro/Am Rising Star Open Rhythm and the U.S. South American Showdance Championships. She also was the bronze medalist in the U.S. Rising Star Open International Latin Championship. Currently, Chasity continues her dance training in both the American style and International Latin with Eddie Ares.
Our Mission
At Academy Ballroom Atlanta our mission is simply to provide a studio where teachers and students, as well as amateur couples, can come and develop their skills in a very professional, fun, and friendly environment. We have something for everyone! No contracts needed, just pay as you go; you are your own boss, a professional attitude and common courtesy to your fellow dancers is all that is required. We offer group classes and private lessons, dance parties, and several social events for both competitive and social dancers.
